What is TrailScout?

TrailScout is an off-road navigation app for 4x4s, SUVs, dirt bikes and adventure motorcycles. It shows off-road tracks with a grade from smooth gravel to rocky climbs, which vehicles they suit, and live reports on water crossings, washouts and closures. Maps download for offline navigation, and convoy mode puts every vehicle on one live map, relayed over Bluetooth when there is no network, with one-tap SOS.

Why a dedicated app

Road navigation apps route you around dirt tracks, not along them, and they assume a signal. Off-road, the questions are different: can my vehicle make it, is the crossing passable today, and where is the last vehicle in the convoy?

TrailScout is built for overlanding in India: high-altitude loops in Spiti and Ladakh, monsoon tracks in the Western Ghats, and weekend dirt routes near the big cities.
