Child safety standards
TrailScout has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). This page explains what is prohibited, how to report it and what we do when we find it.
Our standards
TrailScout is an app for 13+ users, with accounts, public posts, photos, comments, groups and profiles. We prohibit, everywhere in the app and on this website:
- child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of any kind, including images, video, drawings, and AI-generated or altered content;
- sexualising minors, or any content that depicts or encourages the sexual abuse or exploitation of a child;
- grooming, sextortion, or soliciting sexual content or contact from minors;
- trafficking of children, or sharing links or instructions for finding any of the above.
Accounts that break these rules are permanently removed. These rules are part of our Terms of Use.
How to report
- In the app: tap ⋯ on a post or a profile, or press and hold a comment, then choose Report and pick the reason that fits best. You can also Block the person.
- By email: write to support@trailscout.club with the subject "Child safety report". Include the username or profile link and a description of the content. Please do not attach or forward the material itself.
What we do
- We review reports about child safety first. Every report is reviewed within 24 hours.
- We remove content that breaks these standards and permanently remove the accounts responsible.
- We preserve the relevant records, and report confirmed CSAM and exploitation to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and to the relevant authorities in India, including the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal and the police, as the law requires.
- We cooperate with law enforcement requests and legal process concerning child safety.
Staying safe
- You can block anyone and manage blocked people in Profile → Settings → Blocked people.
- Your profile, posts and live position can be limited to followers, a group or only you. See the privacy policy.
- Parents and guardians who have a concern about a child's account can email us and we will act on it.
If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first (112 in India). In India you can report online child sexual abuse material at cybercrime.gov.in or call Childline on 1098. Elsewhere, use NCMEC CyberTipline.
